Safety Rules

All Club Directors serve as Range Safety Officers and have the responsibility to enforce all Club rules and regulations. The unsafe handling of firearms will not be tolerated and may result in dismissal from the Club. The Club Directors have the authority to immediately suspend Club member privileges.

Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.

Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.

Always keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use.

All firearms must be unloaded and pointed in a safe direction until such time as the shooter is at the firing line and is ready to shoot.

            • The range is considered to be HOT when shooters are in the firing position at the benches or firing line and rounds are being fired downrange at will.

The range is considered to be COLD when all shooters have ceased fire and firearms are made safe, unloaded, and tabled. Shooters will not handle firearms while the range is cold.

When more that one shooter is present at a given range, all shooters will communicate with each other to ensure that all shooters are aware of the range condition (HOT or COLD).

The range must be HOT before you load and shoot your firearm. Be sure that all persons present on the firing line are aware that the range is HOT.

The range must be made COLD before any shooter can go forward of the firing line.

The Trap range will coordinate with the 100yd and 200yd range before going forward of concrete firing lines.
