Range Rules and
Regulations
1. Identification: Membership cards must be presented at
the request of a Board Director or Range Safety Officer.
2. Keys: Members must not make their gate key available to
non-members.
3. Gates: Unless a Special Event is scheduled the gate will be closed
and locked after individual entry. The last person leaving the range will
secure all buildings and gates.
4. Guests: The club member must accompany his guests and be
responsible for the safety and actions of his 6. guests. Members should not abuse
the privilege of bringing guests routinely. Bringing the same guest on a
routine basis will considered an abuse of the guest privilege.
5. Children: Children (minors) are prohibited from
the firing line unless accompanied by their parent or a guardian.
6. Targets: Only paper targets may be used, with one
target per frame. No hard targets will be allowed. An exception may be made for
steel silhouette targets for sanctioned events or practice. Silhouette targets
must be shot with lead bullets. An exception is made for the plinking range but
glass prohibited.
7. Target Frames: The Club provides target frames for
member use. Personal target frames must meet the following specifications; the
bottom edge of the target frame must be a minimum of 4 feet from the ground and
the top edge approximately 6 feet from the ground.

Cleanliness: Each shooter is responsible for cleaning up their spent brass and
other materials resulting from shooting.

8. All Ranges: Firearms may not be discharged in front of the concrete firing line. Firearms may not be discharged in any direction except that which lies directly down-range of the shooting position. Firearms may not be fired in any manner that will allow the bullet to strike the ground in front of the backstop.

100
yard Rifle Range:
Targets may only be placed at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards on permitted frames.

200 yard Rifle Range: Targets may only be placed at 150 and
200 yards on permitted frames. Shooting at less than 150 yards is prohibited.

Plinking Range: Any permitted firearm can be used.
9. Weapon Prohibitions and Limitations: Fully automatic weapons are prohibited from being on the
property.
10. Rate of Fire Limitation: Firing rate will not exceed 10 shots in
five seconds except on the plinking range.
11. Scheduled Matches: During scheduled matches, that part of
the range is closed to general use shooting. The range will also be closed
during social occasions after scheduled matches where food or drink is being
consumed.
12. Hunting: No hunting on club property.
13. Pets: Pets are not allowed on club property.
Safety Rules
All Club
Directors serve as Range Safety Officers and have the responsibility to enforce
all Club rules and regulations. The unsafe handling of firearms will not be
tolerated and may result in dismissal from the Club. The Club Directors have
the authority to immediately suspend Club member privileges.
• Always
keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.
• Always
keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
• Always
keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use.
All firearms
must be unloaded and pointed in a safe direction until such time as the shooter
is at the firing line and is ready to shoot.
The range is
considered to be HOT when shooters are in the firing position at the benches or
firing line and rounds are being fired downrange at will.
The range is
considered to be COLD when all shooters have ceased fire and firearms are made
safe, unloaded, and tabled. Shooters will not handle firearms while the range
is cold.
When more that
one shooter is present at a given range, all shooters will communicate with
each other to ensure that all shooters are aware of the range condition (HOT or
COLD).
The range must
be HOT before you load and shoot your firearm. Be sure that all persons present
on the firing line are aware that the range is HOT.
The range must
be made COLD before any shooter can go forward of the firing line.
The Trap range
will coordinate with the 100yd and 200yd range before going forward of concrete
firing lines.
